The 2024 Olympics which officially opened in Paris on Friday, July 26, has ended today, Sunday.

The last day of athletic competitions is August 11, which is the same day as the closing ceremony in the Stade de France.

The Olympics medal table as of 11the August had the USA leading with Nigeria nowhere in sight among winning teams.

The USA topped the medal table after bagging its 40th gold medal.

China came in second position with the same number of gold medals as the USA.

Japan is placed third with 20 gold medals while Australia is fourth with 18.

Host nation France slipped to the fifth spot, with 16 golds.

However, following a poor run of events, Nigeria missed out on all medals despite the efforts of all athletes.
