The ex-wife of the Ooni of Ife, Olori Naomi Silekunola alongside Alhaji Oriyomi Hazmat, and Abdulahi Fasasi, were on Monday, January 13, granted bail by an Oyo State High Court, sitting at Ring Road after they were detained over the December 18, 2024 funfair stampede, which led to the loss of lives.

Justice K. B Olawoyin, presiding over Court 8, gave the ruling following a bail application filed by the Counsels of the trio.

The Court fixed Monday for the ruling afterSilekunola, Hazmat and Fasasi’s lawyer on January 7 argued the bail application.

The Judge gave five conditions for the bail to include: N10 million and two sureties who must submit landed documents within the jurisdiction of the court.

The other conditions are that the applicant must deposit their international passport with the court and they are barred from granting any form of interview during the pendency of the case
